Deftones, thanks to Rafa Gil

Deftones will be tour­ing the UK in late Novem­ber, and they will be sup­por­ted on all of those dates by Coheed & Cam­bria.
On Octo­ber 5th, Rise Against will be releas­ing a DVD called Another Sta­tion: Another Mile. It’s a col­lec­tion of 14 live per­form­ances from across the globe.

Apo­lo­gies for last week’s lack of news, I was in Hun­gary.
Emo’s Annex have banned Fat Mike from the venue after his now infam­ous Cokie the Clown gig as part of SXSW. You can read more about the gig here.
Vik­ing Funeral is a new label, star­ted by Fletcher Dragge (Penny­wise) and Ken Seaton of Hard­line Enter­tain­ment and Sub­urban Noize Records. Their first sign­ing is Author­ity Zero, who will release their fourth album through the label on May 25, 2010.

Phil­lip Hill, the gui­tar­ist for Teen Idols is out of hos­pital after being admit­ted on the 4th with a col­lapsed lung. He sus­tained the injury attempt­ing to defend a girl who was being attacked by a group of men. He has no insur­ance plan, but a fund has been set up for him. As part of a char­ity fun­draiser for Deftones bassist Chi Cheng (in hos­pital since last year, and still “minimally-conscious” fol­low­ing a coma, Greg Puci­ato of Dillinger Escape Plan took to the stage with Deftones to do the vocal part on “Pas­sen­ger” recor­ded by Tool’s Maynard James Keenan.

There’s some­thing about Weezer that I’ve never been able to put my fin­ger on. You never seem to meet any­one that doesn’t like them on some level, but at the same time I find myself hard pushed to think of any­one I know that could be con­sidered a “hard­core fan”.
