Stray­light Run have announced that they are now on an “indef­in­ite hiatus”. How­ever, Shaun has quit the band for good.
Zoli Teglas (Ignite) is Pennywise’s new vocal­ist. Allegedly, it happened as a res­ult of a mis­di­alled tele­phone num­ber.
As part of the Olympic cel­eb­ra­tions in Van­couver, a pro­ject called “Live­City” was con­ceived, to bring live music to Van­couver for free. Alex­is­on­fire were play­ing one of these free con­certs, and unfor­tu­nately the crowd rushed the stage, and sev­eral people were hurt.

Blink-182 have announced that they will be play­ing Area 4 Fest­ival (Ger­many), High­field Fest­ival (Ger­many), and I-Day Fest­ival (Italy) on the 21st August, 22nd August and 4th Septem­ber.
Bad Religion’s Brett Gure­witz has spoken on his twit­ter about BR’s pro­gress on their next album. Appar­ently, they’ve been demo­ing mater­ial over the past few days.
Unfor­tu­nately, Stew­art Teg­gart, who was, amongst oth­ers Bad Reli­gion and Pennywise’s former man­ager, has died. He appar­ently had a heart attack on Tues­day morn­ing.

Phil­lip Hill, the gui­tar­ist for Teen Idols is out of hos­pital after being admit­ted on the 4th with a col­lapsed lung. He sus­tained the injury attempt­ing to defend a girl who was being attacked by a group of men. He has no insur­ance plan, but a fund has been set up for him.
