Kurt Cobain’s mother has been awar­ded tem­por­ary guard­i­an­ship of his daugh­ter, Frances Bean. Court­ney Love is not men­tioned in the court papers, and no reason is given for the decision. This is the second time Love has lost cus­tody of her daugh­ter.

Phil­lip Hill, the gui­tar­ist for Teen Idols is out of hos­pital after being admit­ted on the 4^th with a col­lapsed lung. He sus­tained the injury attempt­ing to defend a girl who was being attacked by a group of men. He has no insur­ance plan, but a fund has been set up for him. Since Brad­ley Nowell’s death, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh have been per­form­ing as Long Beach Dub All­stars, but recently have taken back Sub­lime as a band name, since the arrival of Rome Ramirez. A judge has put a stop to this, and Nowell’s fam­ily retain rights to the name.
