Power-pop has always been inter­est­ing, but in no other rock genre have women been so suc­cess­ful. Bands like Tuuli, No Doubt and now The Hed­rons bring a little some­thing extra to the table with their catchy offer­ings. “Be My Friend” is a well-crafted, bouncy song, per­formed entirely by women. It’s a very strong track, and would make a great single for any band, let alone this rel­at­ively young glaswe­gian all-female band. The band formed only a year ago, but already have played Down­load this year, and received great reviews from NME. The Hed­rons are tour­ing through­out the sum­mer — get tickets!
