Paul Gray, Slipknot’s bassist who died recently, died of an acci­dental morphine over­dose accord­ing to his autopsy report.

A large num­ber of artists, led by Korn’s Jonathan Dav­ies, have decided to boy­cott BP products as a res­ult of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mex­ico. The artists, includ­ing Dis­turbed, Rise Against, Lady Gaga, Gods­mack, Back­street Boys, Slightly Stoopid, Rob Zom­bie, Mega­deth, Anthrax, Creed, and Flog­ging Molly, are hop­ing to encour­age pet­ro­leum com­pan­ies to put in stricter safe­guards, and observe them in the future.

Reel Big Fish will be releas­ing their own “Greatest Hits” album, to rival the one that was released by Jive in 2006 without the sup­port of the band.

Rufio will release a new album on the 27th July, and it will be called “Any­body Out There”. This fol­lows news that they were in a road acci­dent involving another car earlier this week. The band are all fine, but a crew mem­ber, and the third party are ser­i­ously injured.

Alexisonfire’s Dog’s Blood EP will hope­fully be done by the autumn, accord­ing to Dal­las Green. He also hopes to record a new City and Col­our album from mater­ial he has already writ­ten soon.

LimeWire have lost a law­suit, and are now facing $150,000 of dam­ages per song that was trans­ferred through their net­work. Not just LimeWire either, but its cre­ator, Mark Gor­ton. I don’t think I know how many zeros will be at the end of that sum.

Glen Lam­bert, a fic­tional mem­ber of Pro­pa­gandhi, has chal­lenged Cokie the Clown to a fight, for allegedly steal­ing his persona.
