Apo­lo­gies for last week’s lack of news, I was in Hungary.

Emo’s Annex have banned Fat Mike from the venue after his now infam­ous Cokie the Clown gig as part of SXSW. You can read more about the gig here.

Vik­ing Funeral is a new label, star­ted by Fletcher Dragge (Penny­wise) and Ken Seaton of Hard­line Enter­tain­ment and Sub­urban Noize Records. Their first sign­ing is Author­ity Zero, who will release their fourth album through the label on May 25, 2010.

Accord­ing to the band’s offi­cial twit­ter, they have com­pleted their album, and are hop­ing that it will be released “June or so”.

Pat­ent Pending are record­ing a new album this April with Jordan Schmidt, who has worked with All Time Low and Motion City Soundtrack in the past.

Read­ing and Leeds have announced some of the bands that will be play­ing this sum­mer. Blink-182, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Frank Turner, Enter Shi­kari, Para­more, Weezer, NOFX, and Biffy Clyro have all been confirmed.

Fol­low­ing Stray­light Run’s hiatus, Tak­ing Back Sunday have announced that John Nolan and Shaun Cooper have both rejoined the band, and Matt Fazzi and Matt Rubano have both left, return­ing the band to the line-up with which they recor­ded “Tell All Your Friends”.

White­chapel are “honored” to have Deftones’ Chino Moreno guest­ing on their latest album, A New Era of Cor­rup­tion. Alex from the band explains “it’s cool that Chino was so opened minded to do vocals on some­thing so extreme; I think that it sounds fant­astic.

In an inter­view with Blare, Alexisonfire’s George Pet­tit has said that the band will try to record a four track EP called Dog’s Blood this spring.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Owl City, whose album “Ocean Eyes” has been cer­ti­fied platinum.

Road­run­ner Records have announced that they will be releas­ing Korn’s next album, Korn III — Remem­ber Who You Are. Fieldy, Korn’s bassist said that Road­run­ner were the only label who “even under­stands rock music any more”.

Punchline’s drum­mer, Pat Dee has announced that the group will be going into the stu­dio to record their new album in May.

Under­oath have announced that Aaron Gillespie will be leav­ing the band after this tour. Appar­ently, it was a group decision.
