Joe’s Big Toe was foun­ded by Joe Innes in early 2008 as a devel­op­ment of his pre­vi­ous pro­ject with Alix Gra­ham, MoonMusic.co.uk, which has since become defunct.

Based in Shef­field and Birm­ing­ham, with con­tacts across the coun­try, Joe’s Big Toe has grown, and now has a respect­able num­ber of con­trib­ut­ors and sources. Ori­gin­ally, our focus was on rock, metal, and punk, but as we have developed, we now host a large num­ber of reviews and edit­or­i­als on a vari­ety of dif­fer­ent types of music, ran­ging from folk to dubstep.

We are always look­ing for new mater­ial, and new bands and artists to review. If you would like us to listen to your music, please send us an email using the con­tact form, send­ing us a link to mp3 files that you want us to listen to, or ask­ing for a postal address to send a phys­ical copy. Please also send us a one-sheet, a bio (includ­ing pic­tures) or a press pack. By send­ing the pic­tures, you grant us a licence to use them on the web­site for illus­trat­ive pur­poses, and in any phys­ical mater­ial we may pro­duce in the future.

Please note, we can­not review bands based on their MySpace, You­Tube or Face­book profiles.

While every effort is made to ensure that pic­tures used to illus­trate our art­icles are used in accord­ance with licens­ing terms, there may be occa­sions where the copy­right owner has not been able to be con­tac­ted.
